The all-Volunteer Monroe Historical Society's purpose is to discover, collect, preserve, and interpret for public education and enjoyment of historical information and artifacts concerning the history of Monroe, Ohio. We encourage historical research of publications, to support special historical commemorations and maintain public displays of historical interest.
The Society operates and maintains the Museum Building located at 10 E. Elm Street, the historical 1910 Building General Store at 2 E. Elm Street, and the reconstructed Pioneer Log Cabin located in the Monroe Community Park on South Main Street.
